A little piece of heaven on earth and a must see to believe
the beauty and tranquility that exists only an hour from Johannesburg.

The name KIASOMA is A MOSAIK spelt backwards and comes from the diversity of our members and from the symbolism of a broken and fragmented humanity which can become a work of beauty under the artful hands of spirit.
Come to KIASOMA and discover how all the pieces fit together. KIA in aborigine means to STAND and SOMA in Greek means a body as a whole without impurities. So KIASOMA is to stand with a body without impurities - totally healed. The healing at KIASOMA will take place on many levels and through many modalities.

The art we teach at KIASOMA varies from Mosaic to Pewter Work, Fabric Painting to Drum Making. Sweat lodges are held on the first Saturday during or just after a full moon, and Medicine Wheel teachings are held throughout the year on predetermined dates, usually with a Sweat Lodge. You can walk the Labyrinth or experience Reiki, Kahuna Massage or Crystal Healing.
There are one, two and three hour hiking trails at the retreat, that includes over 350 species of bird life, and for this reason is a bird lover's paradise.
Another popular request is a photo-shoot weekend. Bring your photography club and book in for the weekend. You will never run out of the most beautiful photo opportunities.
Should you visit our website at www.kiasoma.com you will see some of the wonderful scenery waiting to be captured on film.

We also offer art and healing weekends, and we will structure the weekend to suit each individual. The art courses we offer are Mosaic, Pewter art, Sculpture, Printmaking, Fabric Painting, Mural Design, Wall Finishes, etc. If there is a specific art form that you would like to learn not listed here, please enquire, as it may not be offered at the moment due to lack of demand.
Should you not want to experience any of the healing modalities or art lessons, you are welcome to just come and stay in our self-catering or bed and breakfast cottages, and just relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility on your doorstep.
We also offer self-catering, bush camp group accommodation. Alternatively, come and have a boma party and we would be only too happy to cater for your event.
Murder mystery dinners are an amazing experience here, and we will provide the setting, the story and the catering for your party.
Please visit our website, and come visit us. We would be happy to welcome you at KIASOMA.
