The
History of Getaway Farms
Getaway Farms is a well know tourist
attraction situated in the Rayton/Cullinan District.
The farm was inherited from my late father, Bob van
Luik, and I, Trevor van Luik, learned that certain buildings
on the farm were originally the Van Der Merwe Railway
Station, which was situated on the railway line from
Pretoria to Machadodorp, between Koedoespoort and Rayton
Station.
